Orford House is a social club that is owned by us, run by us, and loved by us. It's open to everyone to join - so you can be part of us too!
Orford House has been a social club on this site since 1921 when it was gifted to the community. It sits at the heart of the Village as a place where all of Walthamstow can come to socialise in a safe, inclusive and diverse environment.

COMMITEE RUN
We are run by an elected committee of volunteers and operate as a mutual society. We have a defined mission statement guiding the club's operation and governance. We publish clear and transparent information about the club's finances and decisions.
VOLUTEERS
Although we have an excellent paid professional bar staff the club relies on the massive contribution from members who volunteer to do work and help run events. This helps to give the club it's unique friendly character.
LISTED BUILDING
Built in 1803 Orford House is a listed building which still boasts many beautiful original features. The building is at the centre of our club and requires constant love and attention to maintain it for future generarations.
COMMUNITY
We strive to support and work with local charities and support groups. We are always seeking to align with local groups and business that support our goals.
